Visual Steps Radboud UMC
Challenge
The Radboud UMC is an academic hospital in Nijmegen that cooperates with Radboud University Nijmegen. They asked us to develop a campaign which will focus the public’s attention on the importance of physical activity and demonstrate how easy it is for them to be active despite their busy everyday lives.
Solution
We will make people reconsider how they can include physical activity in their daily routines. Simple actions such as discouraging them from using the elevator and encouraging them to take the stairs. Because taking the stairs should be a part of our everyday routine.
We know that regular physical activity is an important part of enjoying a healthy lifestyle. But it’s difficult to be constantly physically active when our lives are so busy. So, we motivate the employees and students of Radboud to take the stairs by showing visual motivational images and animations on the wall of the stairwell. The beamers will be activated as soon as someone walks in the stairwell and will show different types of animations. The user gets the realization that they are doing good by taking the stairs, and they will get a good feeling.
